ABOUT THE EVENt

Bellingham/Whatcom Project Homeless Connect events have been part of the local plan to end homelessness since 2009.  The event provides one-day, one-stop access to health and human services. They are designed to meet local community needs and priorities in keeping with the following principles:

Hospitality:

Homeless neighbors are welcomed guests; respect, comfort, and responsiveness are of the highest priority

Immediacy:

Guests receive a same-day response to their prioritized needs

Community:

Voluntary civic participation brings neighbors together in one place

Partnership:

Public, private and non-profit sectors collaborate

Excellence:

Data is collected for subsequent evaluation and performance improvement
